Entrepreneurial Support
JCEL provides support to entrepreneurs whether they are located in the Sill Business Incubator, in a Juniata classroom or in the community. JCEL also provides experiential learning opportunities for students from all academic disciplines through a variety of channels.
Helping to give Juniata students valuable work experience, JCEL employs student interns in a variety of areas. Marketing student interns have been involved in promoting JCEL to the campus and community. Political Science student interns have been involved in local economic development efforts.
Along with internship opportunities, JCEL offers a Speaker Series that targets entrepreneurs and aims to improve business processes during the start-up phase. JCEL sponsors small business workshops that are open to all students and community members. Networks of JCEL Mentors (experienced entrepreneurs) and JCEL Service Providers (such as attorneys, accountants and insurance providers) are available. JCEL has also recently launched a video library of interviews with entrepreneurs as an additional resource for students and community members.
