Cocoa Chocolates, LLC is a small luxury chocolate business. Each piece of chocolate is a delicate, beautiful work of art. Hannah, started selling her chocolates through her chef apprenticeship. She decided to make her hobby into a business her sophomore year at Juniata College. JCEL helped Hannah market her product.

Greener Leasing, LLC, founded in the fall of 2008, rents MicroFridges to students. JCEL approved a $10,000 loan to assist Doug purchase units. A MicroFridge consists of a microwave, fridge and freezer that surpass school and federal standards for electrical output, thereby providing a method by which students can go green. The company installs, maintains, replaces, removes and stores the MicroFridge, so students have one less item to worry about lugging between school and home.

Caitlyn's business idea started when she painted a picture frame in her garage for her dorm room. She cut the first frame with a chop saw and now purchases frames from a manufacturer. Something Sunny sells picture frames, art prints and decals. The hand painted products have a San Diego inspired beach feel with bright colors. Something Sunny was approved for a $2,500 loan, and Caitlyn borrowed $500 from the Student Seed Capital Fund.

Techno-Mango LLC is a software development enterprise founded in 2010 by Juniata College undergraduates studying computer science and information technology. The company provides web design, software development, research, marketing and analysis for small businesses and individuals. The business was the recipient of a $25,000 Student Seed Capital Keystone Innovation Zone Grant.
