Huntingdon County Business and Industry, Inc
With a history tracing back to 1912, Huntingdon County Business and Industry is organized as a 501c3 non-profit organization for the purpose of advancing the commercial, industrial, recreational, educational, agricultural, and civic interests of Huntingdon County. The Huntingdon County Commissioners have identified HCBI as the leading economic development agency for the county.
Recognizing that effective economic development arises from strategic partnerships and active collaboration, HCBI serves as the hub for these activities. Comprised of a professional staff, a volunteer board, active committees and a host of partners, HCBI operates from the Sill Business Incubator in the heart of Huntingdon County.
HCBI assists businesses of all sizes and types. Experienced, professional staff can assist with business plan development, consulting services, financial assistance and much more.

Pearl Biosciences, LLC
Pearl Biosciences, LLC, a biotech and Keystone Innovation Zone company, formed in November 2009 to commercialize a novel high affinity binding protein technology(patent pending), for applications in the fields of proteomics, affinity chromatography, bioassay, and related areas of biotechnology. The company introduced four products incorporating proprietary technology through an exclusive distributor agreement. Pearl Biociences has a development project underway for a new binding protein to deplete or capture another important molecule.

The company provides web design, software development, research, marketing and analysis for small businesses and individuals. The business was the recipient of a $25,000 Student Seed Capital Keystone Innovation Zone Grant.
