What are the benefits of locating my venture in a business incubator?
Business incubators provide a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs - you can learn from one another and network with other business visionaries. Incubators also have many shared resources which all tenants can use - conference rooms with technology, copiers, a mini-print shop and resource materials. Incubators are also a great way to market your business - many people tour the facilities and the staff at the facility work to help you promote your business through press releases.
What types of business are eligible to rent space in the Sill Business Incubator?
Students, faculty and community members are able to lease space. Per Huntingdon Borough zoning, most businesses with the exception of retail, are permitted to operate in the Sill Business Incubator.
What type of space is available?
We offer two kinds of occupancy in the Sill Business Incubator. Our short-term (typically 3-months to 3-years) or “Hotel” space is meant for start-up companies just beginning operations and who need immediate access to business administration tools (computer, copier, fax, scanner, file storage, etc) but do not have the cash flow to pay for such equipment. Our space is open class A office space holding three single and three double fully furnished cubicles that can lease for as little as $60 per month (five days use per single).
The long-term space (typically 6-months to 5-years) or “Dedicated Space” is more of a traditional model where a business occupies their space/suite in a fully dedicated unfurnished fashion. We have nine suites and one wet lab spaces ranging in size from 179 to 660 square feet and ranging in lease rate from $230 to $1,100 per month, gross. Comcast has a wire drop in each suite for telecommunications.
Free parking is available in the back of the building for tenants, clients and visitors.

What are the lengths of the lease?
Leases range from three months to five years.
Are there any additional benefits to leasing space?
The Sill Business Incubator is located in the heart of the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) as well as the Enterprise Zone (EZ), allowing businesses in the facility to take advantage of those programs. Tenants occupying either kind of space have access to the Mead-Westvaco Resource Room where copying, faxing, scanning and publishing equipment is available. Also, tenants have access to rent conference room facilities that have Internet access, conference call capability and host Smart Board technology.
