JCEL Looking for Student Mentors

Henry Ford once said, “Whether you believe you can, or you can’t, you are right.” Even though these words were spoken many years ago, they still ring true today, especially in the case of young entrepreneurs.

To sell your idea to the world, you have to believe one hundred and fifty percent in yourself and in what you are doing.  Here at JCEL, we are trying to instill self-confidence into the minds of our young entrepreneurs by providing them with mentors.  Our mentors are business people from the greater Huntingdon area and Juniata alumni who are paired up with students based on their field of expertise.

Students determine how frequently they meet with their mentors so that they can attain experience in running their businesses while always knowing that help is available.  Having a mentor will give our young entrepreneurs the extra self-confidence that they need to move their businesses forward.  After all, there are certain things in life you can only learn by experience, but often times, knowing that there is someone to help you if you fall is the only reason you took a leap of faith in the first place.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a JCEL mentor, please fill out the attached form and return it to Susanne House.  The mentor’s field of expertise and the frequency of Juniata student inquiries will determine the time commitment of each mentor.
